
Vernillo’s clinical interest in Oral Medicine has focused on the dental management of patients with diabetes mellitus as well as its oral and systemic complications. His past research investigations focused on the role of connective tissue degrading enzymes in the pathological remodeling of bone and the inhibitory effect of tetracyclines on bone resorption.
